Philippians 4:19-20 “And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  To our God and Father be glory forever and ever.  Amen.”

Yesterday one of the roads that had been destroyed in the recent floods was re-opened.  This road allows people to access small mountain towns within minutes rather than hours of driving again.  They were getting around with the other roads but their needs are met fully with this road.  There is a story of dry bones in a valley in the book of Ezekiel.  In the vision the bones are brought back together; life breathed back into them.  The story is about the nation of Israel and God’s promise to bring them back.  In a way both of these stories speak to me of God’s providing to us.  We can live and survive this life taking whatever road is available; we can live this life with no hope, as dry bones or we can live in Christ and his riches.  He offered true life to Israel and he offers true life to us.  His road may not always be easy but it is easier than any other road.  His life giving breath renews our dry bones completely.  Two stories to ponder and many more that show us God providing and fully satisfying our every need.  Join together calling on God through Christ and praising his name for all He has done and all He will do.

Lord,
Thank you for giving us life.  Thank you for easing our troubles and satisfying our needs through your unending love and mercy.  I give you my heart of gratitude this morning and pray that I will bless and honor you with it today.  Amen.
