2 Corinthians 5:15 “Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.”

The message in this verse has two sides as I see it.  Everything is for our sake; Jesus came to earth and taught us how to live in love, he died on the cross and redeemed us in grace.  All of this was done for our sake.  As we accept his grace and love, we turn and share that grace with others.  This is the second side.  Everything is for His sake.  We live in love and teach others about the grace of God through the grace we share.  As others receive grace, they share it with more people and it spreads throughout humanity.  Whatever comes in our lives and in the passing days on this earth, one thing is constant.  God’s grace and the mercy He extends to us through Christ are continuous.  We are the vessels that pass His grace and mercy to this world until He comes again.  Everything is for our sake and everything is for His sake in return.  Glory and thanks to the Lord our God!

Lord,

Thank you for your unending grace and mercy.  Thank you for sending Christ to teach us your ways and your truth.  Fill us with the urge to share these gifts in the world around us so that grace will fill the hearts of all people.  Then we will raise our voices in unison praising and thanking you.  What a joy that will be!  Amen.
