Psalm 136:1-2 “O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.  O give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

I am blessed.  When I take time to think about it I cannot begin to count the blessings that God has given me.  He does not just bless me though, He blesses us all.  He blesses us with homes and family, friends and neighbors.  He blesses us with challenges and hardships so that we can grow in ways He knows we need to grow in.  He blesses us with seasons.  Spring brings renewed growth and warmth of days, summer brings long hours of sunshine and days of play and rest.  Fall comes with a crispness of air and colors in the foliage to brighten cloudy days and winter brings quiet rest and cold crisp snow that waters the earth.  All these seasons bless us in ways we do not always see.  He blesses us with his love that endures forever.  I encourage you to take some time today and search your heart for the blessings in your life.  When you find them thank the Lord for he is good and his love does endure forever.

We are blessed beyond measure; forgive us for not seeing the blessings and not thanking you for them.  Open our eyes to see the many blessings you shower on us each day.  We are blessed through your word and through community, through struggle and ease, through friends and family... it is an unending list just like your unending love.  Thank you Lord.  Amen.
